It has a built-in microphone, as well as a 1/4" phone jack for amplified instruments. You can choose the traditional manual tuning mode, or the popular auto tuning mode. The LCD screen indicates the current mode, as well as the string name, and includes a large and accurate tuning meter. This exceptional tuner even includes lighted flat and sharp indicators. The unit operates on two AAA batteries (included with your purchase!) with an estimated battery life of 100 hours. All that power in a unit that will fit in your shirt pocket! A true necessity for the bass and guitar player!
This unit measures 4 inches wide and 2.5 inches high, and about .5 inch thick.
An external microphone makes it easy to tune in noisy environments - even when other people are playing around you. Just clip the microphone onto your instrument and plug it into the input jack on the tuner. If your instrument already has a built in pick up (like an electric guitar), you don't need the microphone, you can just plug directly into the tuner.
