Technical Notes: This arrangement includes parts for both brass quintet and brass choir. The quintet and choir parts are compatible, so if you have enough musicians, you can use both sets. For even more flexibility, you can mix and match parts from the quintet and choir sheet music. Our instrumentation list does NOT include the quintet parts (two trumpets, horn, trombone, tuba) - the parts are included with your purchase, but don't show in the list - we show only the brass choir parts in the instrumentation chart. In addition to these parts, there are also two optional parts for the brass choir that are not listed. These are an alternate baritone TC part that doubles the trombone 3 part and an alternate French horn part that doubles trombone 1.

Domenico Scarlatti was an accomplished composer of operas, symphonies, choral and sacred music, but his fame rightly rests on the hundreds of keyboard sonatas, nearly all in the same binary form, in which he gave free reign to his imagination, stimulated by the new sounds, sights and customs of his homeland. In these sonatas he explored new worlds of virtuoso technique, putting to new musical ends such devices as hand-crossing, rapidly repeated notes, wide leaps in both hands and countless other means of achieving a devastating brilliance of effect. Twenty of these sonatas are compiled in this folio written for solo piano. Your audience will be amazed at these stunning works by this great virtuoso.

| Niels W. Gade - Piano Pieces | | Item number 1701805BA, 31 pages Regular Price: $6.95, Our Price: $6.12 You save 12%
The Danish composer, organist and violinist, Niels Gade, began his musical career with the Danish Royal Orchestra. His first success as a composer came in 1840 with his overture Echoes of Ossian. It was at the debut of his first symphonic work where he met composers Mendelssohn and Schumann who from then on greatly influenced his work. This collection features some of his later piano pieces that eventually brought him world-wide recognition as a master composer. Written for solo piano, the works are thoroughly Scandanavian in character and feel, a quality that later changed with his introduction to German styles of music.
