The "American Popular Piano" course ensures the development of well-rounded skills using a combination of styles. The course offers eleven levels of study-from "Preparatory" for the beginning student through progressive levels 1 through 10. Three separate books are available for each level: "Repertoire", "Etudes" and "Skills". This selection is the "Etude" Book. It is divided into two sections. The "improvisation etude" section offers progressive development of skills through a variety of variations of each piece. The "technical etude" section focuses on technical and musical elements through the use of both classical and popular style pieces. The songs become progressively more difficult with each level.
